In a bizarre crossover event that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A strange encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden group.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana in addition to several artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
