Over 100 hundred million people, comprising at bare minimum 15 million minors, now employ e-cigarettes, fueling a recent trend of nicotine dependency, according to latest international health data.

"In response to this strong progress, the tobacco industry is pushing back with recent nicotine devices, actively focusing on young people. Administrations must respond quicker and more vigorously in applying established tobacco-control measures," he continued.
The vaping figures are a projection since some states - 109 in total, and many in African and Asian regions - fail to collect information.
According to the study, as of recent February this year, at bare minimum 86 million e-cigarette consumers were adults, primarily in high-income states.
And at minimum 15 million adolescents between the ages of 13 and 15 already use e-cigarettes, based on research from 123 nations.
Even though several countries have tried to establish e-cigarette regulations to tackle child vaping in recent years, by the conclusion of 2024, 62 states even now had no regulation in operation, and 74 countries had no age limit at which e-cigarettes are allowed to be purchased, states the health organization.
